Chicago Images from the archive

Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center | Chicago, Illinois
I've added five images to the website from the old days in Chicago. Until I have uploaded enough to fill a portfolio page, they can be found in recent images. The image above is from one of my favorite places in the city: Orchestra Hall, home of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This image was shot from the boxes before a concert using 6x7 fuji tungsten-balanced film. Not surprisingly the medium format transparency shows an incredible amount of detail under the loupe. All of these images are proven workhorses. The image of the Chicago river (also shot on 6x7 film) has been used as a 6-foot mural and although only a 35mm transparency the image of the compressed buildings was used on Bank One billboards throughout the city.
